Procurement

We drive cost savings by ensuring that our staff are trained in procurement initiatives and fully understand cost savings and adding value to every brief they receive. Negotiation skills are an increasingly important part of the role of our staff and as such they form a key part of our training schemes and feature prominently in appraisals. We also have a Finance Executive in each of our teams to oversee and manage all costs incurred on behalf of our clients.

Our staff are trained to carry out extensive activity to ensure we maximise cost avoidance opportunities and cost saving initiatives on behalf of our clients.

We have undertaken an extensive exercise working closely with the Procurement Director of one of our pharmaceutical clients whereby we have arrived at a solution that has seen the consolidation of their event destinations down to a small number selected on the basis of destination costs, flight costs and flight accessibility. Furthermore, we have been able to negotiate with venues in each destination to provide best value contributing to a year-on-year budget saving of approximately 20%.

Whether it is at an individual event level or from the perspective of a series of events we focus on the overall objectives and share the benefits of our experience with our healthcare clients to ensure they use their event budget in a manner which will get them a maximum return on their investment.
